A conversation with Dr. Don Brash of Hobson's Pledge

On defending New Zealand's democracy against vestigial media bias, leftwing extremism and ethno-nationalist separatism
2

Dr. Brash holds a masters degree in economics from the University of Canterbury and a Doctorate from the Austalian National University. Commencing his career at the World Bank he rose to become Governor of the Reserve Bank in New Zealand.

Turning to politics Dr. Brash served as leader of both the National and Act political parties. After a lifetime of public service Dr. Brash is widely considered the most affable and erudite person in New Zealaand public life. His service continues as the principal representative of Hobson’s Pledge, the organisation dedicated to upholding the principle of equality as a pillar of democracy.

He was kind enough to join me for a discussion about Hobson’s Pledge, in the current adverse political and media environment.

We had some technical diffulcties and I accidentally deleted my notes so had to ad lib much of this interview on the fly. We managed to muddle through.
